COVERED PROPERTY

Raw materials, merchandise, machinery and any property the client has to import or move in order to sell inside the Republic of Ecuador as part of the normal running of business.

COVERAGE FORMS

Free from Particular Average: Covers material damage to insured merchandise only against damages and/or losses caused upon its transportation or when they are the direct result of one of the following events:
• Earthquake, earth tremor, volcanic eruption, seaquake and tsunami
• Flooding, inundation, swelling, tidal waves and overflowing of rivers
• Avalanche, landslide
• Hurricane, cyclone, typhoon
• Fire and/or lightening, explosion
• Shipwreck, grounding, ship taking on water and needing to find a port of refuge, collision of means of transportation with a solid substance
• Overturning, derailing
• Bridge collapse, airplane crash or parts falling off, total loss of entire packages (merchandise and packing) occurring during loading, unloading or transfer and considered a total loss, the physical disappearance of a package falling into the water (package being understood as the unit division of the shipment) consistent with the transportation document.

All Risks against Damage
Covers all the material damages suffered by the insured merchandise during its transportation.

All Risks against Theft
Covers the losses suffered by the insured merchandise due to robbery and/or assault and/or theft.
 

CUSTODIES

We offer the custodial service of containers and loose cargo with qualified enterprises in our country that have infrastructure and efficient control, allowing us to considerably decrease the risk of robbery and damages in unloading. For import policies during the internal route, we offer armed guards to protect the container.
